Our
Advanced Food Processing Facility
In
1996, a state-of-the-art processing facility was completed
to expand capabilities in processing quality and efficiency.
Our thermal processing system, the first of its kind in
North America, uses high temperatures and short cook times
to optimize the nutritional and physical quality of our
products. This new plant was designed and constructed in
adherence to the sanitation standards of the American Institute
of Baking, regarded as the highest standards in the world.
The
facility and its products are federally inspected by the
Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and the Food and
Drug Administration (FDA) in the United States.
Today,
Sprague Foods has developed a strong reputation for superior
quality canned products with unique capabilities in product
development. Our processing technology allows for a high
degree of flexibility and efficient production of a wide
range of products in various container types and sizes.
The
Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) system is
used as the basis for the quality assurance program to ensure
a safe and sanitary process environment in which to consistently
produce high quality food products.
